Your hosts Deb and John Englefield are passionate about retaining the charm and warmth of old-fashioned hospitality. They are proud to be known by the locals, as a true example of a"Good Old West Coast Pub"

The Pioneer Hotel is tucked away on it's "own little corner of the world"; with the rugged beauty of the Hokitika River and the "West Coast Wilderness Cycle Trail" a few steps away and on a crisp clear day unsurpassed views of the majestic Southern Alps and Mount Cook.
